Weight Loss Management Service
Richmondshire District Council has launched a new supported weight management service, 'choose to lose'. They accept referrals directly from patients without having to see the GP. Please click here for further information.
What is Choose to Lose?
Choose to Lose is a new adult weight management service that is available from 2 March 2020. It is free to anyone who lives or works in Richmondshire, and are aged over 18 with a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 25 or above.
The service is funded by North Yorkshire County Council Public Health, and delivered by Richmondshire District Council and the Choose to Lose team.
If you are ready to commit to a 24 week programme and want to feel healthier, Choose to Lose could be the programme for you.
What happens each week?
You attend weekly group sessions at a venue that is easy to get to – each session lasts for one hour and includes a healthy eating session and gently activity session
There will be a weekly weigh-in to check your progress
