The practice area covers a large portion of the northern Dales stretching from the Cumbrian border in the west to Richmond in the east. It also includes Tan HIll Inn, the highest public house in Britain, standing at an elevation of 528m above sea level- a good Land Rover challenge for home visits in the winter snow!
As you can see below, the majority of our patients are in the older age ranges. Over 30% of our patients are over the age of 65 years, which is well above the national average.
Apart from asthma, our rates of long term health problems are higher than the national average. This is probably just because the average age of our patients is older. It does not mean that living in the Dales makes you unhealthy!
